Air Fryer Quiche is a great breakfast when you just need to get out the door. It’s easy to prep the night before, and in minutes, you have a fresh, hot breakfast waiting for you any day of the week!
It’s super easy to make quiche in an air fryer. You can easily make single servings, and make multiple small quiches in different flavors to keep things interesting.
You can make them with or without crust, and if you prefer crust, you can make it easy on yourself by using either a pre-made pie crust or some puff pastry dough.
In fact, you could even purchase some pre-made, frozen quiche and cook that in an air fryer. Whatever works best for you!
How Long Do You Cook A Crustless Quiche?
A crustless quiche will cook slightly faster than a quiche with crust. So for a 5 inch quiche, you could cook it at 325-350 F. for about 10-12 minutes.
A quiche with crust could cook at the same temperature for approximately 12-15 minutes.
Note that these times can vary with the size and depth of your quiche. All cooking times in this post are a general suggestion, or jumping off point.
Keep an eye on your quiche the first time you cook it in an air fryer, and take note of the size and how long it cooked for future reference.

How Do I Make My Quiche Base Crispy?
If a soggy bottomed quiche is an issue, you’ll want to be sure you bake your crust first. You can also cut back slightly on the liquid content of your quiche, and also make sure you are not using any frozen ingredients. While frozen veggies are convenient, they do add extra liquid to the quiche filling, which can leave the bottom of your quiche soggy.
Can You Put A Ramekin In An Air Fryer?
Many people prefer to make quiche in ramekins for easy, single servings. If they are oven-safe ramekins, then yes. You can use them in an air fryer, just like you would in an oven. Simply set the ramekins in the air fryer basket or on the air fryer tray, and cook as instructed with time and temperature.
How To Freeze Quiche
Can your freeze quiche? Absolutely! Even if it’s homemade. But you must cook it before freezing it. You should never freeze a raw, uncooked quiche.
Once cooked, unless you need to serve a whole quiche for a special occasion, we highly recommend cutting the quiche into single servings and freezing the servings. Once they are completely frozen, you can combine them in the same container, if you wish. But freezing single portions makes it super easy to grab just what you need in the morning.
Can You Reheat Quiche In An Air Fryer?
Absolutely! If the quiche is not frozen, you’ll want to reheat at 250 F. for about 4-5 minutes. You can even melt a little extra cheese on top during reheating, just to freshen up the flavors a bit.
How To Cook Frozen Quiche In An Air Fryer
If you purchase frozen quiches, particularly the mini quiches or individual slices of quiche, here’s the general rule of thumb for cooking or reheating them:
325-350 F. for 15-20 minutes
This can vary slightly by the size and depth of the quiche as well as by the brand or type of air fryer you have, but this is the general rule of thumb.
Basic Quiche Recipe
According to The Kitchn, the perfect quiche ratio is:
1 large egg to 1/2 cup of dairy
This ratio, at its heart, is 1 part egg to 2 parts dairy, by weight. A standard large egg weighs two ounces and 1/2 cup of dairy (whole milk) is four ounces, therefore a handy 1:2 ratio!

Air Frying Is Different
The above ratios might work in the oven, but we have found that things are slightly different in an air fryer. We have adjusted the above ratio accordingly.
In an air fryer, While everything definitely cooks, the egg doesn’t gel as it would in an oven. So we upped the egg content and reduced the milk content. It works well!
Ratios For Different Quiche Sizes
While the measurements below may or may not fill your pan (it will depend on how deep your pan is), these measurements are a general rule of thumb, loosely based on the above ratio.
- 9 Inch Quiche – 5 large eggs + 1 1/4 cups milk
- 8 Inch Quiche – 4 large eggs + 1 cups milk
- 7 Inch Quiche – 4 eggs + 3/4 cup milk
- 5 Inch Quiche – 4 large eggs + 1/2 cup milk
- 4 Inch Quiche – 3 large eggs + 1/2 cup milk
- 3 Inch Quiche – 3 large eggs + 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Inch Quiche – 2 large egg + 1/4 cup milk
Best Milk For Quiche
The fat content of your quiche will greatly affect the final texture of your finished quiche. The higher in fat the milk content is, the more firm the quiche will be. You don’t want to use anything with less fat content than whole milk.
- Dairy Free Options – If you are diary free, full-fat coconut milk is probably your best option based on fat content alone. Cashew milk is the next best milk, but will not give you the firmest quiche you’ve ever had.
- Dairy Options – Best dairy options are whole milk, half and half or heavy cream.
Quiche Filling Variations
How much of the below suggestions you use will depend on how large or deep your quiche pan is. We can only speak in generalities here, and thankfully, quiche is pretty forgiving stuff. So use these measurement suggestions as more of a jumping off point.
Note that the inclusion of cheese here assumes you are mixing a shredded cheese into your quiche filling. If you instead, prefer to lay some slices of cheese over the top, you can add a bit more filling to equal the amounts below.
9 inch quiche = 2 1/4 cups filling (including cheese)
7 inch quiche = 2 cups filling (including cheese)
5 inch quiche = 1 1/4 cups filling (including cheese)
3 inch quiche = 3/4 cup filling (including cheese)

What You’ll Need For Air Fryer Quiche
This make a 7″ quiche. We chose a flavor combo of broccoli, mushrooms and cheddar.
4 large eggs – These can be either cold or room temperature.
¾ cup whole milk – You can also use heavy cream or ½ & ½.
½ cup chopped broccoli – Feel free to substitute with a ½ cup of anything you like. If you use broccoli, chop it small. If you are using frozen broccoli, thaw it first. We did this in our microwave.
½ cup chopped mushrooms – Use any type you prefer. We used regular, white mushrooms.
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese – Feel free to use any type of cheese you prefer. You can use shredded like we did, or you can simply top the quiche with sliced cheese at the end.
