It doesn’t seem like that long ago when we were recommending the best air fryers of 2020. But it’s a new year and there are new air fryers on the market. So here are our choices for the best air fryers of 2021.
It’s worth mentioning that we still love the air fryers on our list for 2020. You can find that list of best air fryers of 2020, right here. They are still some of the best on the market, and you wouldn’t be making a bad choice if you bought one of them.
But 2021 has brought a few new air fryers to light, and we can’t say they are a bad choice either. Here are the best of this years air fryers so far.
Choosing An Air Fryer
At the end of the day, you want an air fryer that fits both your kitchen and your lifestyle. It would be pointless to purchase a basket air fryer big enough to feed one or two people, when you have a large family that also loves to use a toaster oven. Best Air Fryers Of 2021
Ironically, one of the best air fryers on the market for 2021, came out back in 2020. Philips is a trustworthy brand in the air fryer market. And while all air fryers have somewhat short lifespans for a small appliance, the Philips brand remains pretty reliable.

Keep in mind, that this is a smaller air fryer. It’s meant to be used for one or two people, tops. So if you have a bigger family, read on below about our next choice for air fryers for bigger families.
Pros –
- Voltage: 120v (possibly 220v – There was some confusion on the description)
- Weight: 16.37 pounds
- Functions: Fry, bake, grill, roast, reheat.
- Rating: While this appliance has a 4 out of 5 Amazon rating, complaints didn’t seem to focus on one thing in particular. In fact, it seemed more like user error and complaints about the size, which are right on the box.
Cons –
- Size: this is a very small air fryer. So don’t expect to cook for a lot of people here. This is definitely best for a maximum of two people. Perfect for one.
Best Air Fryers Of 2021 For Bigger Families
Now, please hear us out. This isn’t a new model. It’s not even from 2020. In fact, it was first available in late 2019. But it is still, hands down, our favorite air fryer. It’s a work horse, great for multiple people, and has many different types of functions. Our favorite being, the rotating roasting basket. It also has had the longest lifespan of any air fryer we’ve ever owned, and when our current air fryer eventually dies, we’ll be replacing it with the exact same model. It’s really that good! We use it every single day, multiple times per day. We wouldn’t lie to you!

This year’s list is admittedly rather short. The world of air fryers is expanding, but in the process, the good ones are really starting to stand out in a sea of sad wannabe’s.
While there are other decent air fryers on the market, these two stand out as the best for this year.
