If you’re in the spirit of Halloween this year, your air fryer can totally help keep you festive with these air fryer Jack-O-Lantern Quesadillas!
These are fun for kids and adults alike, and it doesn’t take long to add this festive flare. Just a knife to cut out the face, and you’re good to go! Here’s how to do it…
How To Carve Jack-O-Lantern Quesadillas
Air Fryer Quesadillas are easily “carved” into Jack-O-Lanters with a sharp knife. It’s a fun project for the kids too, if you give them a simple not-so-sharp dinner knife or help them with cutting, they can cut out any sort of face or shape they like.
Cookie cutters are a great way to cut shapes out as well. And the cut out portions can be sprayed with oil and air fried for a few minutes until they become chips! So nothing will go to waste here.
Shapes to try:
- Pumpkin faces
- White hats
Use any cookie cutter you like. In fact, you can even turn these into Christmas quesadillas by using Christmas shaped cookie cutters! Or use heart-shaped cookie cutters for Valentine’s day. As long as there’s a cookie cutter for it, any shape will do!
4 slices American cheese – cheddar works too. You can use processed cheese or grated cheese. Use whatever cheese you prefer.
8 small flour tortillas – You can use big quesadillas too. Any size will work. Corn tortillas work too.
1 can cooking spray – You can also use regular oil in an oil sprayer if you want things healthier.
How To Make Jack-O-Lantern Quesadillas
Take a knife and carve a Jack O’lantern face on every other tortilla.
On the tortillas you didn’t carve a face, lay down cheese slices & then place a carved tortilla on top. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
Place in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes at 350° F. Cool slightly and serve.
